¡Hola Mexico!

I spent seven days in Mexico. These are the highlights.

 People in Puerto Vallarta like to stack rocks on the beach for money.  Magic?

You can't beat a 10 peso donut delivered to your beach chair at Sayulita. 

  

Chances are you'll sweat a lot in Mexico. If so, it's very important to stay hydrated. I recommend the Mexican grown-up version of Pedialyte, Electrolit. 

The sleepy streets of Yelapa, only a 45 minute boat ride from downtown Puerto Vallarta.  

Mexican Coke really does taste better. 

 Pink walls are better than gray. 

Mexican wrestler walls are even better than pink walls. 

You need a straw hat in Mexico. On a budget? Try visiting Walmart. It's easy to find on the bus. 

Visit Sayulita. Stay at Casitas Tortugas. This will be your view. 

Sandcastle- built.

Milk candy looks better than it tastes but it's still worth it.

Reapply sunscreen as often as possible. You won't regret it. 

Yelapa water. 

Check out Tacos on the Street in Sayulita for tasty veggie tacos. Only 15 pesos each.

Paint Chips & Pantones

So... it's not perfect, but if I had used a ruler it could have been. All in all, it was totally worth the questioning looks I got for taking 20 + paint swatches from the hardware store.

Bookshelves from books

Making invisible bookshelves is actually super easy. I followed these directions from instructables. However I found it easier to skip the step where you cut a bit of the book cover so the books can lay flush against your wall. So far, so good.

I found my glue sticks.

Balllon Camping Adventures

Sadly, dogs are not allowed at the Adirondack Balloon Festival.


Hot air balloons come in bags just like this.


Next, you use a normal-sized fan to blow them up.


It takes a whole team of strangers to keep a balloon on the ground once it gets going.

Once everyone lets go, you can watch them go up, up and away.



Did you know you can cook a turkey with a garbage can? I sure didn't.

If you're an extra special girl, you get your own mini balloon outside our camper.


This is the first tent I ever slept in that wasn't in a backyard.

This sign made me happy.
